A little history to this day… ZDANIA has already 26 years…
Company ZDANIA Ltd. It was created in the year 1992 as a spin-off of the Technology University in Cracow.
As a spin-off unit, the company has been developing new technology solutions for automation and implementation of these solutions in the industrial environment. During the initial period, the company implemented industrial automation systems based on its own plc-2000 for industries such as metallurgy (control systems for blast furnaces and aglomerowni in domestic and building materials industry (cement, Wapienniki).
Since the mid-90, the company has been engaged in the automation of public buildings, propagating the idea of open automation systems operating on the basis of standard data buses, such as LON, BACnet and MODBUS. The company is a manufacturer of the <strong>iBASe</strong>™ family of driver and sensor systems and a supplier of Echelon, BTR, Newron and LOYTEC.
In the year 1999 ZDANIA developed a concept for building automation Systems III of the campus of the Jagiellonian University and from 2000 to today it implements building and BMS automation systems on all the successively built objects of the 3rd campus. The company is the author of the original concept of combining automation systems with security systems (access control and intrusion detection) at the object level to exploit the synergies of these systems to optimise energy efficiency Buildings, which in 2007 was reflected in the provisions of EN 15232 on the conditions of influence of building automation systems on the energy efficiency of buildings.
The company participated in two European Commission projects in the framework of implementation research for SME-SAFETYLON projects (2005-2008) and Sense (2006-2010) and implemented two national projects under the operational programme Innovative economy: POIG. 01.04.00-12-086/10 strengthen the market position of ZDANIA by intensifying research and development under which m.in. It was created in the company R & D department and also POIG. 01.04.00-12-105/11 development of a technology platform for integrated automation and security controllers of buildings, which resulted, in addition to the production of the whole range of New products is a very good preparation of the company for entry into the IoT technology. In the present ZDANIA continues development and industrial research, another innovative project is co-financed by the RPO Małopolska Region 1.2.1.
In 2011, The company became the Competence Center of LOYTEC. Global producer and supplier of modern components and equipment for building automation systems and is an official, exclusive, authorized distributor of products of LOYTEC in Poland.
The representatives of the company participate in the work of the Polish (PKN KT-173) and the European (CEN TC-247) Standardization committees in the field of building automation (standards for data transmission standards in building automation systems and standards for The impact of automation on the energy efficiency of buildings).
Currently, the company is implementing Internet of Things (IoT) functionality for its products to extend the offer of building automation with smart Grid elements (intelligent electrical socket, sensors, object drivers and actuators with Internet-based IoT technology), including individual users.
